Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL) and the visiting Sylacauga Aggies (Sylacauga, AL), observed Briarwood Christian's volleyball team top Sylacauga by a count of 3-0.

The Lions (31-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Volunteers enter the non-league contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Central of Clay County was knocked off by Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Aggies encounter the Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 14. Sylacauga will attempt to improve on its 16-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 13-6 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Central of Coosa County (Rockford, AL).
