Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Clayton (Clayton, NM). The Yellowjackets come into the 2A District 6 challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Clayton was nudged by Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears face the Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) in a 2A District 6 test, on Thursday, October 16. Estancia will attempt to advance on its 5-11 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 6-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Clayton (Clayton, NM).
