Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Winters Mill beat Century (Sykesville, MD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Francis Scott Key will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Winters Mill (Westminster, MD).
