The Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) volleyball held off the visiting Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD), 3-2 in Tuesday's league match.

Next up, the Kernels battle the Watertown Arrows (Watertown, SD) in a AA District 1 match, on Thursday, October 16. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Arrows enter the match with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD).

The Cavaliers now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Huron for a AA District 1 battle on Thursday, October 16. Jefferson will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 6-11.
