In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host University Prep Science & Math Cobra volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the University Prep Art & Design Mustangs.

The Cobra (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit got by Detroit Cristo Rey (Detroit, MI), 3-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Edison Academy Pioneers (Detroit, MI) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 17. University Prep Art & Design will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Pioneers go into the test with a 7-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Cass Tech (Detroit, MI).
