The Mepham Pirates (North Bellmore, NY) football defeated the visiting Long Beach Marines (Long Beach, NY), 28-13 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates face the South Side Cyclones (Rockville Centre, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 22. Mepham will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Cyclones enter the bout with a 4-2 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Herricks (New Hyde Park, NY).
