Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, October 18. Alamogordo will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Bulldawgs enter the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 2-0 league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM).

The Trojans now have a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gadsden for a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, October 18. Mayfield will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 12-5.
