The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX) and the visiting Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX), saw Big Spring's volleyball squad nip Lake View by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Big Spring upgrades its record to 12-20 on the year. The Steers travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, October 18. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-22. Sweetwater lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Snyder (Snyder, TX)

The Chiefs now own a 14-13 record. They play next when they host Levelland for a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, October 18. Lake View will play a Lobos squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 20-21.
