In Saturday's non-league contest, the Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA) volleyball squad edged the host Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 15. Gilroy will attempt to better on its 2-18 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 6-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA).

With the loss, Rancho San Juan drops to 5-14 on the campaign. The Trailblazers travel to Seaside (Seaside, CA) to battle the Spartans in a Pacific Coast - Mission contest on Monday, October 17. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 4-7. Seaside won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA)
