In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Spanish Springs Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Bishop Manogue Miners.

The Cougars (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Douglas (Minden, NV). The Tigers come into the challenge with a 13-0 record. In their last challenge, Douglas edged Galena (Reno, NV), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Miners meet the Reno Huskies (Reno, NV) in a challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Bishop Manogue will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV).
