Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Gill St. Bernard's Knights (Gladstone, NJ) and the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ), saw Gill St. Bernard's's soccer squad hold off Newark Academy by a count of 3-2.

The Knights (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Delaware Valley (Frenchtown, NJ). The Terriers enter the Skyland - Raritan battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Delaware Valley was edged by Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Minutemen battle the West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 17. Newark Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
