In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Rio Rancho Rams volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cibola Cougars.

The Rams (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Piedra Vista was nudged by Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Cibola will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
