In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Highland Springs Springers.

The Mustangs (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA). The Raiders enter the non-league challenge with a 17-0 record. In their last challenge, Atlee got by Varina (Richmond, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Springers meet the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Highland Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA).
