In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Middlesex Chargers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Mathews Blue Devils.

The Chargers (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Charles City beat Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 21. Mathews will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA).
