Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) and the visiting Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY), saw Schalmont's soccer squad hold off Voorheesville by a count of 2-1.

The Sabres (14-1) will now prepare for their battle against La Salle Institute (Troy, NY). The Cadets enter the Colonial Council battle with a 4-9 record.

Next up, the Blackbirds battle the Mohonasen Warriors (Schenectady, NY) in a Colonial Council battle, on Thursday, October 17. Voorheesville will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 16-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Troy (Troy, NY).
