In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Irrigon Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the McLoughlin Pioneers.

The Knights (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Heppner (Heppner, OR). The Mustangs enter the 2A Blue Mountain challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Heppner beat Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers meet the Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Friday, October 18. McLoughlin will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 5-18 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Ontario (Ontario, OR).
