Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI) and the visiting Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), observed West Iron County's volleyball team top Ishpeming by a tally of 3-0.

The Wykons (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Iron Mountain was beaten by Houghton (Houghton, MI), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hematites meet the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 17. Ishpeming will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 16-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Westwood (Ishpeming, MI).
