In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Middlesex Chargers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Mathews Blue Devils.

The Chargers (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Panthers enter the Tidewater challenge with a 4-12 record. In their last challenge, Charles City beat Hopewell (Hopewell, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines (Chester, VA) in a Tidewater challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Mathews will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to West Point (West Point, VA).
