Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), 2-0 in a league test.

With the win, Monticello improves its record to 15-12 on the season. The Sages host Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to face the Hawks in a Illini Prairie test on Thursday, October 17. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 11-16. Prairie Central won 2-0 in their recent league test against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL)

The Eagles now own a 9-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mattoon for a non-league test on Thursday, October 17. Rantoul will face a Greenwave squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Greenwave record now stands at 11-16.
