In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Sheldon Irish volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the South Medford Panthers.
The Irish (14-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Marist (Eugene, OR). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, Marist beat Cottage Grove (Cottage Grove, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Thursday, October 17. South Medford will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Black Tornado enter the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to South Eugene (Eugene, OR).
