In Wednesday's league contest, the South Granville Vikings (Creedmoor, NC) soccer team edged the visiting J.F. Webb Warriors (Oxford, NC), by a count of 5-4.

Next, the Vikings battle the Orange Panthers (Hillsborough, NC) in a Big Seven 4A/5A contest, on Monday, October 20. South Granville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 13-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Carrboro (Carrboro, NC).

The Warriors (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC). The Fighting Red Wolves enter the Big Seven 4A/5A contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Cedar Ridge was nipped by Carrboro (Carrboro, NC), 5-0, in a league challenge.
