The Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals prevailed the host Newman Greenies volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Wednesday's league game.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Ursuline Academy Lions (New Orleans, LA) in a Division IV District 10 bout, on Tuesday, October 21. Academy of the Sacred Heart will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA).

With the loss, Newman drops to 16-6 on the campaign. The Greenies travel to Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 21. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 13-10.
