Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw South Caldwell's soccer squad knock off Ashe County by a count of 3-1.

The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Huskies battle the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 21. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 5-6 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
