Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers (Springfield, MA) and the visiting Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA), observed Putnam Vo-Tech's volleyball team hold off Holyoke by a count of 2-1.

The Beavers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record.

Next, the Purple Knights meet the Monument Mountain Spartans (Great Barrington, MA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 18. Holyoke will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record.
