In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Carteret Ramblers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the New Brunswick Zebra.

The Ramblers (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against South River (South River, NJ). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 2-18 record. In their last challenge, South River edged Highland Park (Highland Park, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Zebra play the West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights (Plainsboro, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 16. New Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rancocas Valley (Mt. Holly, NJ).
