The Eastside Spartans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Thomas Walker Pioneers to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now possess a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland outing on Thursday, October 17. Eastside will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-0 league loss to J.I. Burton (Norton, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Thomas Walker drops to 7-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA) to play the Eagles in a Cumberland outing on Thursday, October 17. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 8-7. Rye Cove won 3-2 in their recent league outing against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)
