The Palma Chieftains topped the host Gonzales Spartans volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Wednesday's league game.
Next up, the Chieftains confront the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 18. Palma will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the game with a 18-7 record after their 3-1 league win over Santa Catalina (Monterey, CA).
The Spartans (5-9) will now prepare for their game against Monterey (Monterey, CA). The Dores go into the Pacific Coast - Mission game with a 15-11 record. In their last game, Monterey gained a win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA), 3-1, in a league game.
