The South Eugene Axe volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Grants Pass Cavemen to 0 in the Axe league triumph on Wednesday.
The Axe now possess a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain View for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 19. South Eugene will play a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Summit (Bend, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 10-9.
With the loss, Grants Pass drops to 6-13 on the campaign. The Cavemen travel to North Medford (Medford, OR) to play the Black Tornado in a 6A Southwest outing on Tuesday, October 22. The Black Tornado come into the outing with a record of 15-7.
