In Wednesday's league challenge, the visiting Hawthorne Bears volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Mary Help of Christians Academy Blue Jays.

The Bears (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Passaic County Tech got by Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Coming up next, the Blue Jays clash with the Hawthorne Christian Defenders (Hawthorne, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, October 16. Mary Help of Christians Academy will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record.
