In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Holyoke Purple Knights.

The Beavers (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA). The Eagles come into the Pioneer Valley - Central challenge with a 0-11 record. In their last challenge, Mount Everett Regional lost by Ware (Ware, MA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Purple Knights meet the Monument Mountain Spartans (Great Barrington, MA) in a Pioneer Valley - Central challenge, on Friday, October 18. Holyoke will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Lee (Lee, MA).
