Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Explorers (10-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record.

Next, the Panthers meet the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 17. Jersey will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Explorers go into the test with a 10-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).
