Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Etna Lions (Etna, CA) and the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), observed Etna's volleyball team top Mt. Shasta by a count of 2-0.

The Lions (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Weed (Weed, CA). The Cougars go into the battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Weed achieved victory over Fall River (McArthur, CA), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Bears now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loyalton for a non-league battle on Monday, October 20. Mt. Shasta will meet a Grizzlies team coming off a 2-1 league win over Herlong (Herlong, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-3.
