Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide come into the non-league challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Galax beat Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Highlanders face the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a test, on Thursday, October 23. Glenvar will attempt to advance on its 8-8 season record.
