Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Jaguars (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Del Norte lost by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 21. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Sartans come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM).
