In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Payton College Prep Grizzlies volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Taft Eagles.
The Grizzlies (16-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitney Young (Chicago, IL). The Dolphins go into the non-league test with a 20-7 record. In their last test, Whitney Young nudged Chicago Washington (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now sport a 11-8 record.
