North Carolina High School Soccer - Carson nudges East Rowan

In Thursday's league outing, the host Carson Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the East Rowan Mustangs.
The Cougars (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans enter the South Piedmont 4A/5A outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Northwest Cabarrus was edged by Concord (Concord, NC), 5-0, in a league outing.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 17. East Rowan will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 11-2 record after their 9-0 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC).
