In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Palatine Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 win over the Elk Grove Grenadiers.

With the win, Palatine improves its record to 23-4 on the season. The Pirates host Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL) to face the Lions in a non-league test on Friday, October 17. The Lions go into the test with a record of 22-7. Saint Viator won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL)

The Grenadiers now own a 14-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Streamwood for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 22. Elk Grove will face a Sabres squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to St. Edward (Elgin, IL). The Sabres record now stands at 4-23.
