Virginia High School Volleyball - Northumberland over Essex

In Thursday's league challenge, the host Northumberland Indians volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Essex Trojans.
The Indians (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Westmoreland (Montross, VA). The Eagles come into the Northern Neck test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Westmoreland went down by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 3-1, in a league test.
The Trojans now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mathews for a non-league test on Monday, October 20. Essex will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Northampton (Eastville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-10.
