Fans at Thursday's league contest between the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) and the host Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR), observed South Eugene's volleyball team top Grants Pass by a count of 3-0.
The Axe (18-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Medford (Medford, OR). The Panthers go into the 6A Southwest battle with a 15-6 record. In their last battle, South Medford achieved victory over North Medford (Medford, OR), 3-1, in a league battle.
