In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Santa Teresa Saints volleyball team scored a close 1-0 victory over the James Lick Comets.

The Saints (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Independence (San Jose, CA). The 76ers go into the BVAL - West Valley test with a 4-18 record. In their last test, Independence was edged by Mt. Pleasant (San Jose, CA), 3-2, in a league test.

The Comets now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Overfelt for a BVAL - West Valley test on Tuesday, October 21. James Lick will meet a Royals team coming off a 3-0 league loss to San Jose (San Jose, CA). The Royals record now stands at 2-13.
