Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 19. Freedom will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

The Spartans now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alexander Central for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 19. South Caldwell will confront a Cougars team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-10.
