The Madison County Mountaineers volleyball team (Madison, VA), was nudged 2-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA)

The Fighting Hornets (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos enter the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Fluvanna County nipped Monticello (Charlottesville, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 18. Madison County will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Luray (Luray, VA).
