Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), 9-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 18. Piscataquis will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Howlers enter the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME).
The Lynx now possess a 0-13 record.
