In Monday's league battle, the host Newton-Conover Red Devils soccer squad scored a good 9-0 win over the West Lincoln Rebels.
The Red Devils (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Trojans go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle with a 16-1 record. In their last battle, Bandys notched a victory over Maiden (Maiden, NC), 5-1, in a league battle.
The Rebels (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, West Caldwell was overwhelmed by Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC), 4-2, in a league test.
