In Monday's league battle, the host Grossmont Foothillers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Monte Vista Monarchs.

The Foothillers (10-10) will now prepare for their battle against Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA). The Cougars come into the Grossmont Valley battle with a 8-19 record. In their last battle, Steele Canyon achieved victory over Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Monarchs clash with the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont Valley battle, on Wednesday, October 19. Monte Vista will attempt to advance on its 2-17 season record. The Braves come into the battle with a 19-12 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Health Sciences (San Diego, CA).
