The Plainfield Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host New London Whalers to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Monday.

The Panthers now have a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bacon Academy for a non-league game on Wednesday, October 19. Plainfield will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-8.

The Whalers (0-13) will now prepare for their game against Wheeler (North Stonington, CT). The Lions enter the Eastern Connecticut - Small game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, Wheeler gained a win over Putnam (Putnam, CT), 3-0, in a league game.
