In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Grants Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Highland Hornets.
The Pirates (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Belen achieved victory over Highland (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hornets encounter the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 19. Highland will attempt to advance on its 5-7 season record. The Jaguars come into the battle with a 7-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM).
