The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX), saw Amarillo's volleyball squad beat Lubbock-Cooper by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Amarillo upgrades its record to 33-5 on the year. The Sandies host Tascosa (Amarillo, TX) to play the Rebels in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Saturday, October 21. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 26-13.
The Pirates now own a 27-12 record. They play next when they travel to Abilene for a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Friday, October 20. Lubbock-Cooper will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 13-22.
