The Santa Rosa Lions volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Pecos Panthers to 0 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton for a 2A District 6 game on Thursday, October 19. Santa Rosa will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-12.

The Panthers (4-11) will now prepare for their game against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines enter the 2A District 6 game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Texico was dropped by Portales (Portales, NM), 3-0, in a non-league game.
