Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Appomattox County improves its record to 13-1 on the season. The Raiders host Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league test on Monday, October 21. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 14-2. Tunstall won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Bassett (Bassett, VA)

The Governors now own a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dan River for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 22. Nelson County will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.
